This well-spiced oriental style rub is a fusion of tradition and innovation crafted to bring vibrant flavours of Asia to your barbecues this season. Developed in-house by our executive development chef Jeff Baker, our blend begins with a symphony of Chinese spice mix, carefully curated to bring together the essence of traditional Asian cuisine. With a medley of garlic, onion, tomato, and a secret blend of spices including star anise, cinnamon, and ginger, each component adds its own layer of depth and complexity. Enhanced by the natural sweetness of brown sugar and the aromatic punch of Chinese 5 spice powder, this rub is a celebration of bold flavours.

This rub is perfect with grass-fed beef, free-range lamb, pork and chicken, making it an essential for outstanding barbecue feasting. Our rubs don't just stop at meat, let your creativity flourish by incorporating our rub into dips, and marinades, or even sprinkling it over grilled vegetables for an Oriental twist that's sure to impress.

Use to taste - each pouch will be enough to season up to 4 kg of meat or poultry.

How to use your f&co Oriental BBQ Rub

  1. Begin by sprinkling the seasoning evenly over the raw meat. Make sure to massage it in thoroughly for optimal flavour. Suggested usage is 8 to 10 grams of seasoning per kilo of meat. Adjust the amount according to your personal taste preferences.
  2. Proceed to cook the meat following your usual instructions. Whether you're grilling, baking, or pan-frying, ensure that you adhere to the recommended cooking time and temperature for the specific type of meat you're preparing.
