Perfect as a starter or a main, these marinated spare ribs are a delicious treat whatever the season or occasion!


  1. Pre heat the oven to 160 degrees (gas mark 3).
  2. Mix all the ingredients together, soy, honey, vinegar, star anise, water and ginger - and marinade the ribs for a minimum of 1 hour with this mixture.
  3. Place the ribs in a medium oven and cook the ribs for 2 hours. Constantly baste the ribs until the meat is tender.
  4. Serve as a starter or with rice as a main course.
