Chump steaks are cut from the leg of our free-range pork and are ideal for either quick cooking or a melting slow cook. Their standout quality is that they take on plenty of flavour when marinated, making for long in the mouth flavour. With wonderful succulence, our pork chump steaks are a must for pork lovers, with the rich meat showcasing why British free-range pork is so good.
A traditional cut re-appearing on the British menu as home cooks discover the qualities of the juicy and flavoursome pork leg when cut into steaks. This steak is very versatile, being well-suited to grilling, frying, slow cooking, or griddling. If frying, cook for four to five minutes on a high heat, and serve with Mustard mash and spiced red cabbage.
About the cut
A traditional cut of pork well-loved for its texture, and really useful for helping with carcass balance. The bone is carefully boned out by our skilled butchers, and then cut into neat chops. Our pork joints are sourced from a supply of free-range pork, to ensure deep colour and character that mass produced pork cannot match.

It's good to eat and enjoy meat from free range systems, showing farmers that there is a market for herds reared in an ethical manner. When intensive farming reigned unchallenged in the second half of the last century, many of our traditional breeds all but disappeared because they don't take kindly to factory farming. We want to change this by backing free range farming and helping more people realise that we need to safeguard the variety of our farms and to demand meat with intrinsic flavour that comes from higher welfare systems. All of our meat fits that bill perfectly.
