Sweet, Succulent and Versatile Lamb Chops
A British favourite of succulent rib meat prepared into neat chops by our Master Butcher, Lamb Chops are a versatile cut, perfect for quick mid week meals or marinating as a barbecue or dinner party dish. Lamb chops naturally lend themselves to frying or griddling, with the impressive flavour reflecting the diets of wild flowers, herbs, and natural grasses our free ranging flocks mature upon.
The history of the chop in modern butchery stretches back to the 17th century, when “Chop Houses” began serving individual portions of meat to punters. The chop as we know it today was born. Lamb Chops are cut from the spine, including the bone to offer flavour and hold the meat together. With the quality of the British lamb brought from our farms, chops are a year round favourite.
The quality of our free-range lamb makes for delicious chops, perfect for wholesome and nutritious mid week meals. To fry, add to a hot pan on a high heat, cooking for four to five minutes on each side for a medium rare finish, before leaving to rest for a few minutes. Serve with seasonal greens and buttery mashed potato for a quick meal with plenty of quality.
