Description

On the bone and marinated in chilli oil, these lamb riblets are just the ticket for adding a bit of spice to your barbecue spread. The riblets are made succulent by the thin layer of fat that runs through the luscious rib meat, which combines perfectly with the chilli. Ours are expertly butchered from our heritage breed lambs and are perfect for a summer dish.

Shelf life: minimum 6 days.

Lamb (92%), vegetable oils: (rapeseed, sunflower, linseed), vegetables: (garlic, bell pepper, tomato), salt, spices: (peppers, chillies, paprika, jalapeño pepper, cumin), natural flavourings, paprika concentrate, herbs, food acid: citric acid.

Manufactured on a site which handles wheat/barley (gluten), milk, egg, soya, mustard, sesame, celery, fish & sulphites.

How to cook chilli lamb riblets

Riblets can be cooked in the oven or on the barbecue, for equally delicious results. If using the barbecue, make sure the riblets are on the heat indirectly, cooking slowly. Chilli oil adds the perfect level of savoury heat to the succulent meat.

It's good to eat and enjoy heritage breed meat, showing farmers that there is a market for their herds and flocks and encourage them to rear them. Without a demand for their meat, many breeds would die out altogether. When intensive farming reigned unchallenged in the second half of the last century, many of our traditional breeds all but disappeared because they don't take kindly to factory farming. We want to change this and help more people realise that we need to safeguard the natural diversity of our farm animals and to demand meat with intrinsic flavour that comes from higher welfare systems. All of our meat fits that bill perfectly.
