Shallots Roasted With Thyme And Garlic

Ingredients

  • 500g Shallots peeled
  • 2 x Sprigs thyme
  • 12 x Cloves garlic peeled
  • 2tsp flaked salt
  • 2 tbsp goose/duck fat

Introduction

The little sweeties are a must with your celebration roast.

Method

  1. Take a shallow oven proof dish and line with tinfoil leaving plenty of excess over edge.
  2. Place all ingredients into foil.
  3. Crumple up edges to form a sealed parcel.
  4. Place in preheated oven 185°C for 40/45 minutes.
  5. Carefully open bag ,reserve juices for the gravy.
  6. Lightly colour in non stick fry pan.
