Method

SHALLOW FRY/BAKE

  1. Remove the chicken out of the packaging.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180C fan assisted or 200C without a fan (gas mark 6).
  3. Heat a layer of vegetable oil 3-4 cm deep in a deep sided frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the Kiev's for 2-3 minutes each side until golden - you may need to do this in batches.
  5. Transfer to a baking tray and cook for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the butter piping hot.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve straight away.

DEEP FRY

  1. Remove the chicken out of the packaging.
  2. Preheat the fryer to 165C.
  3. Fry the Kiev's for 7-8 minutes until golden and crispy - you may need to do this in batches.
  4. Ensure the chicken is cooked through and the butter piping hot.
  5. Remove from the fryer, pay away excess oil with kitchen roll and serve straight away.

Serve with lemon wedges, french fries and a salad of seasonal greens tossed in a mustard vinaigrette.
