We are proud to launch our very own concept shop, Cut by Farmison & Co, making it easier than ever to buy better meat, marrying the best of the old with the new. Situated in the heart of North Yorkshire, Ripon, surrounded by Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, a place at the heart of many of our butchers and farmers too.

Supermarkets have squeezed the humble butcher, and much of the work is done by machines these days. But at Farmison & Co we like to keep things traditional, much like our farmers; “we use the farms I’ve known since I was a lad. Not much has changed there. The meat, especially the heritage breeds, is still the best – no two ways about it. We do things the old fashioned way in the butchery too. We have two apprentices, and the older hands pass on their skills to the new lads. The techniques are kept safe for the next generation”.

Over the last 10 years, we have mostly sold our produce online – Cut by Farmison & Co is a brick-and-mortar shop, bringing together the finest traditions of local butchery with our click and collect service.
