Known as the 'great improver', the Border Leicester is a truly versatile, dual-purpose breed and the largest native breed on the British Isles. They are renowned for being docile and fast-growing, with a thick fleece making them a sturdy breed. Our flock graze on a nutrient-rich diet of clover and ryegrass, ensuring a sweet, mild flavour in the meat that is not gamey like other breeds.
