Hampshire

The lean ‘old English’ pork breed
Testing Notes:
mild, clean, sweet

Why this breed

Not to be mistaken for its distant relative the Saddleback, the Hampshire originates from Wessex and is known as the 'Old English Breed'. Known for their large, muscular size and admired for their hardy demeanour and foraging ability. The meat is uniquely lean in character, perhaps the leanest of any breed, whilst full in flavour and makes the perfect introduction to British pork as an alternative to more common, fattier pork.

Exceptional quality

We work closely with dedicated farmers across the UK who share our belief in ethical, sustainable agriculture. Every cut we offer is fully traceable, hand-selected, and expertly butchered to showcase the unique characteristics of each breed.

Whether it's the buttery tenderness of Belted Galloway beef, the rich succulence of Middle White pork, or the delicate flavour of Herdwick lamb, our breeds represent the pinnacle of British farming heritage.
