Our free-range Christmas hams are cured and cooked using traditional methods. The results are so consistently superb that our butchers have not changed the recipe for a generation, dry-aged to concentrate the natural flavour before being slow cooked overnight. The result is traditional English free-range ham, with the flavour characteristics that only heritage breed English hogs can boast.

This is a traditional free-range English ham, with soft, natural succulence and texture. A real treat for the festive period, and traditional addition to your Christmas spread, perfect for buffets and sandwiches with plenty for leftovers.

All of our Christmas range delivered on 19th Dec to 23rd Dec is guaranteed to stay fresh until Boxing Day *except products containing pastry which are pre frozen. 48 hour deliveries (Highlands & Islands) may have a shorter life depending on dispatch times.

Product is manufactured in an environment that handles gluten, milk.

Perfect to carve and serve on the Christmas buffet, paired with spiced chutney it's a true British classic.

Any leftovers are great for Boxing Day sandwiches, try toasted sourdough with a melted brie style cheese, shredded ham and cranberry sauce, alternatively shredded and tossed through a winter salad, folded through a creamy tagliatelle dish or simmered in a warming lentil soup for a nutritious and hearty meal whilst recovering from the festive celebrations.

About the cut

Horseshoe Ham

A staple of British pork butchery, the horseshoe is cut from the hind leg of the pig which gives a good layer of fat and a thick rind, and a rich, flavoursome ham. We use traditional Wiltshire and York cures for our horseshoe hams, as well as our modern treacle cure. This process of brining the meat draws out the moisture and concentrates the flavour of the pork, before we cook the ham ready for eating at home.
