This perfectly seasoned lamb hotpot is very versatile, going beautifully with fresh tenderstem broccoli and seasonal potatoes for a tasty, satisfying supper or on its own as a fast, filling lunch with your own choice of pairings.

Traditional lamb hotpot has its roots in the mill towns of Northern England when workers would leave lamb and seasonal vegetables to stew for hours. Jeff Baker's saucepan ready hotpot features generous chunks of our free-range lamb, taken from the leg and shoulder, cooked slowly alongside celery, carrots, and onion. Pearl barley and potatoes hold the dish together, and it's flavoured with thyme and black pepper to give just a bit of edge.
