This properly free range Saddleback breed pork box is not your average pork. Far from the intensively farmed pork you'll find in supermarkets, these cuts demonstrate the traditional English method of rearing hogs. Left to mature for longer, on a healthy and natural diet to put on weight.
The result is ample, creamy fat cover - much more so than our typical pork, and something more akin to the famed Japanese Kurobuta, otherwise known as the 'wagyu' of the pork world! Saddleback pork boasts well developed flavour and creamy character, and meat that is often almost nutty in character. It's these qualities that make it a favourite here at Farmison & Co.
