A fantastic addition to your barbecue or for popping in the oven. These skewers feature meat cut into steaks from the rump cap of pork, which are then marinated in soy and ginger. As with all our Japanese range, expect an umami finish as the sweet glaze pairs wonderfully with the savoury free range English pork. Serve with soy sauce for dipping, grilled vegetables and a squeeze of lime.

Pork (85.1%), marinade: vegetable oils (rapeseed, sunflower), salt, flavourings, spices: (sesame seed, pepper, cinnamon, fennel seed, cloves, aniseed), soya sauce powder: (soya beans, wheat, salt, maltodextrin), vegetables: (spinach, onion, leek), paprika concentrate, ginger.

How to cook

These quick cook skewers need to be cooked in a red-hot pan or directly on a red-hot barbecue. The rich char brings satisying flavour, especially with the sweet glaze of soy and ginger. Serve with soy sauce for dipping, steamed vegetables, and a squeeze of lime.

Taken from the top of the pork leg, the pork picanha boasts a generous fat cover that boasts flavour that only heritage breed hogs can deliver. Inspired by Latin American traditions, this joint works well as a traditional roast or cooked low and slow on the BBQ.

It's good to eat and enjoy heritage breed meat, showing farmers that there is a market for their herds and flocks and encourage them to rear them. Without a demand for their meat, many breeds would die out altogether. When intensive farming reigned unchallenged in the second half of the last century, many of our traditional breeds all but disappeared because they don't take kindly to factory farming. We want to change this and help more people realise that we need to safeguard the natural biodiversity of our farm animals and to demand meat with intrinsic flavour that comes from higher welfare systems. All of our meat fits that bill perfectly.
