Description

Our best-selling individual F&Co pies are made by hand using our succulent and marbled heritage breed diced beef. Easy to bake at home, we've already slow cooked the beef for hours in a rich, natural gravy made with homemade stock and the addition of Timothy Taylors Ale, the award-winning brewery based only a short distance down the road from us in West Yorkshire. The contents are then encased in a traditional hot water crust pastry made with pure lard for a crisp bake, each crimped by hand. Enjoy any time of the year with creamy mash, steamed greens and plenty of gravy. Don't forget to add a spoonful of our fiery F&Co English Mustard.

This product is frozen and will defrost whilst in transit to you. Ensure this product is thoroughly defrosted before cooking. We strongly recommend baking within 48 hours for best quality. This product must not be refrozen.

It's good to eat and enjoy heritage breed meat from British breeds, showing farmers that there is a market for their herds and flocks and encourage them to rear them. Without a demand for their meat, many breeds would die out altogether. When intensive farming reigned unchallenged in the second half of the last century, many of our traditional breeds all but disappeared because they don't take kindly to factory farming. We want to change this and help more people realise that we need to safeguard the natural biodiversity of our farm animals and to demand meat with intrinsic flavour that comes from higher welfare systems. All of our meat fits that bill perfectly.
