Icelandic Flake Salt
Shelf Life: Over 28 Days
Saltverk flaky sea salt is a crunchy, mineral-fresh sea salt produced from the brisk Atlantic waters off the northwest of Iceland. The salt making method is based on a 17th century method using geothermal power as the sole energy source for extracting the salt from the sea water. As such this is a marvellous salt, and an ideal introduction to the unique character of the salts we sell.
This sea salt is a real special, offering well formed crystals of flavour, without being overly salty. Its characteristic large flakes mean a large surface area for imbuing food with character, and promise excellent finishes to dishes, or indeed for using in cooking to add that little bit of extra quality.
