The Royal Sussex Ring
Farmison & Co
Shelf Life: 3 Days
A Chef-Butcher collaboration; Our Royal Wedding inspired Sussex Ring is our nod to the happy couple. A horseshoe-shaped ring of heritage breed sausage with the stunning flavour combinations of traditional spices, ginger, mace and nutmeg, and to enhance the natural sweetness; dried plums. Adding a mild caramelised flavour will be a touch of kibbled onion and some fresh leek; this sausage is something truly special; a must-try for the spring and summer months and to commemorate the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle this May.
Simple to cook whether BBQ'd, pan fried or roasted in the oven, this is no ordinary breakfast sausage – this sausage will be the centrepiece on dinner tables throughout the land!
Remove your sausages out of the packaging and pat dry any moisture. Gently heat your heavy based non-stick frying pan; it must not get too hot otherwise the sausages will explode when cooking. Brush the pan with a fine film of oil and don’t overcrowd the cooking base, the sausages must sit flat and have enough room to turn over. Cook over low to medium heat turning once until the sausage reaches a rich golden colour, just a minute or two each side Transfer to the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until thoroughly cooked. Leave to rest in a warm place for at least 3 to 4 minutes and serve with Luxury mashed potato & a rich red wine sauce.
