An ancient delicacy, visually stunning, and perfect for special occasions. Our Suckling Pigs promises rich, creamy meat, and are simple to cook. This rolled and boned pig offers easy carving, and is ideal for stuffing with aromatic herbs. Our pigs are sourced from the Yorkshire valley of Nidderdale, primarily from world famous Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, as well as other heritage breeds, to promise only the best flavours. On the odd occasion this product might have to be dispatched previously frozen. We will always advise you in advance if this is the case.

Suckling Pigs are a European favourite, featuring prominently in Spanish and French butchery, as well as in British traditions. Ours are taken primarily from Yorkshire reared Old Spots, as well as other heritage breeds, for the best meat quality, to offer very tender pork. They are then carefully prepared, removing the offal, as well as most of the bones by hand, before neatly tying for a spectacular roasting joint.

Try stuffing the belly with aromatic vegetables to infuse the meat with extra aroma and flavour and serve with rich, buttery Granny Smith apple sauce to compliment the succulent meat.
