Slow grown and free range by nature, our geese grow plump on a rich diet of foraged fruits & grubs suplemented with grains grown on the farm. These birds are prepared the traditional way, with the breasts removed from the bone by our expert Butchers. The breast meat is silky, succulent, flavoursome and versatile.
Goose meat has a darker colour and a much richer flavour than that of other poultry. All our geese are hand picked to ensure ample breast meat, before being expertly prepared, leaving the breast intact. Typically more prized than turkey, they take a lot more food to fatten, but the reward is delicious rich meat ideal for celebration meals.
Geese with dry, pale skin and a plump breast get the best results in the kitchen, which ours are. Selecting just the breast of the bird is perfect for more intimate gatherings. Once cooked, serve sliced, accompanied with a sharp cranberry or redcurrant sauce to match the rich, succulent goose meat.
