Goosnargh Whole Corn-fed Duck

A whole roast duck always feels like a treat with its crispy skin and full-flavoured, satisfying meat.Fruity sauces (cherry, orange) suit it well. Leftover duck fat can be used to make fantastic roast potatoes and rosti. Boil up the carcase with vegetables and herbs to make a particularly tasty household stock.

Made a fantastic Christmas Lunch and has now become our first choice for celebratory meals! actually, any excuse to have one will do!. Quite easily the best duck ever and consistant too, even with my cooking!

Nothing Else Comes Close To The Taste Of This! - 6 April 2012

Has to be the greatest duck I have cooked at home and ever tasted come to think of it. A really good sized duck, we roasted it on a wire rack - removed plenty of duck fat during cooking (make sure you keep this as it is too good not to use on your roasties.)

We left it to air dry a bit before roasting. The skin really crisped up very well.

But what was most impressive is the taste. They say that Reg Johnson produces the best duck in the UK - we reserved judgement on this until tasting - but we have to agree that his duck really does take some beating.

Truly Sensational! Thank you farmison for stocking these - been trying to buy a Goosnargh duck for some time.
