Perfect for roasting whole as a Sunday lunch, our chickens reflect our supply chain of only trusted farmers who use traditional techniques of raising poultry, coupled with high welfare standards so their birds plump up gradually in adequate living space.

Butcher's Block:
Our chickens are sourced from small farms in Yorkshire, Cumbria, and Lancashire where they mature slowly to yield the best meat. The difference in quality with mass produced chicken is often dramatic, with this poultry ordinarily reserved for the restaurant trade because of its superior flavour.

Chef's Tip:
A nicely roasted chicken always goes down well with its winning combination of white and brown meat and crisp skin. You can get a lot from one chicken. Serve it first roasted, pick off any remaining meat and use for salads, pack lunch sandwiches, risotto, then boil up the carcase with any vegetables or herbs to make a stock for soup.
